Easy Chocolate Truffle Cake
This chocolate truffle cake doesn’t require a lot of ingredients, but is very rich and tasty.
Ingredients:
- 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 4 eggs, yolks separated
- 1/2 cup sweet butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon flour
- powdered sugar, to sprinkle (optional)
- chocolate icing (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425F/220C and oil a 9″x13″ springform pan.
- In a pan, melt together butter and chocolate. Add sugar, flour, and 1 teaspoon of hot water, blending well. Slowly, beat in one egg yolk at a time.
- In a bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Add slowly to the chocolate mixture.
- Pour into pan and bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cake cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
